Why Pledge?

Pledging is both practical and spiritual. Practically, a pledge helps the church be good stewards of the gifts we are given. When we know what people pledge, we are better able to form the budget for the coming year.

On the spiritual side, the pledge serves as a personal commitment. It is your way of saying to God, “I am going to do my best to be a good steward this year, and give back to your Church in time, talent, and treasure.”

What is tithing?

The tithe is the biblical standard for God's people to give 10% back to the work of God. Tithing helps us to make God a priority in our lives. Jesus said, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Luke 12:34). Tithing forces us to focus on what kinds of stewards we are bring with what God has given us.

But tithing isn't just financial. God has given us each more than money. We also tithe our time and our talents to the God's kingdom.
